TICKS

Ticks grow between 3 to 5mm in length when fully grown. Ticks are arachnids and closely related to spiders. Ticks do not jump or fly. They camp on the blades of grass waiting for their host like a animal or human to stroll by and use their front set of legs to grab hold of their host. Once they found their host they will look for a thin layer of skin where a blood vessel is located and start feeding.

Ticks can spread numerous types of diseases from host to host and some of the diseases they spread are deadly. Some ticks can stay for as long as 2 to 3 days on its host feeding on one spot. Their larvae is so small that it is possible to be spotted with the naked eye and you will never even know that these little critters are on your body. Ticks brought in homes or businesses usually come from their hosts like rats, mice, cats, dogs or any other kinds of animals if not brought in by a human. Pay close attention to possible tick infestations and follow the correct procedures getting rid of them or to avoid having these guys ever entering your home or business in the first place.
